This page explains GigZoro's mobile text messaging (SMS) program and is the public opt-in disclosure for our messaging service. GigZoro LLC is the sender.

We send account and transactional text messages — such as phone verification codes, booking and order updates, and customer support replies — only to users who add a mobile number, verify it, and enable SMS Notifications. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Providing your mobile number and consenting to texts is optional and is never a condition of creating an account, browsing, or booking on the marketplace. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.

Program Description

The GigZoro marketplace connects customers with equipment rentals and service providers. To keep transactions secure and timely, GigZoro offers SMS notifications to registered customers and providers who choose to receive them.

Recipients are GigZoro account holders (customers and providers) who have voluntarily added a mobile phone number to their account, completed mobile number verification, and turned on SMS Notifications. Messages relate to the recipient's own account activity.

This is a recurring, account-based messaging program. The number of messages you receive depends on your activity on the platform.

Message Types and Samples

GigZoro sends the following categories of transactional text messages. Sample messages are shown for reference and may vary.

Phone verification (one-time passcode): "GigZoro: Your verification code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

Booking and order updates: "GigZoro: Your booking GZ-10293 is confirmed for Jun 12. Manage it in your account at gigzoro.com. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."

Customer support replies and agent hand-offs: "GigZoro: A support agent has replied to your request. View the conversation in your GigZoro account. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

GigZoro does not send marketing or promotional content via SMS.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies and is driven by your activity — for example, when you request a verification code, when a booking or order status changes, or when a support agent replies to you.

Because messages are tied to your own transactions, there is no fixed number of messages per week or month.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data charges apply to messages you send to or receive from GigZoro.

GigZoro does not charge a fee for SMS notifications, but your carrier may. Check your mobile plan for details.

How to Opt In

Opting in to SMS is express and entirely optional. To opt in: (1) create or sign in to your GigZoro account; (2) open Account, then Settings, then Notifications; (3) add your mobile phone number; (4) enter the 6-digit verification code we text you to confirm the number is yours; and (5) turn on the SMS Notifications setting.

At the point your number is collected, the following consent disclosure is shown next to the opt-in control: "By enabling SMS notifications, you agree to receive recurring automated account and transactional text messages from GigZoro at the number provided, such as verification codes, booking updates, and support replies. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."

You may also be offered SMS verification when securing your account. Receiving a one-time verification code is part of confirming your number and enabling the program.

How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can opt out of GigZoro text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then stop sending SMS to that number.

You can also opt out at any time by turning off SMS Notifications in Account, then Settings, then Notifications.

Opting out of SMS does not delete your account; you will continue to receive non-SMS notifications you have not disabled, such as email or in-app notifications.

Help (HELP)

For help with the messaging program, reply HELP to any message from GigZoro, or contact us at support@gigzoro.com.

Replying HELP returns a message with the program name and a way to reach support.

Privacy and Data Sharing

We respect your privacy. GigZoro does not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use service providers (for example, our SMS delivery provider) solely to operate the messaging program on our behalf. For full details on how we collect, use, and protect personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, strictly to deliver these messages.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Supported carriers may change without notice, and message delivery is subject to your carrier's network and terms.
