What is GigZoro?

GigZoro is a marketplace that connects customers with trusted providers for services, rentals, and gig-based projects in their area.

Who can use GigZoro?

GigZoro supports both customers looking to book services and providers who want to offer their expertise or inventory to a broader audience.

How do I create an account?

Select your role, complete the sign-up form, and confirm your email. Providers may be asked for additional verification details.

Booking & Reservations

How do I book a service?

Browse listings, review provider details, and choose the date and time that works for you. Confirm your booking with a secure checkout.

Can I message a provider before booking?

Yes. Each listing includes secure messaging so you can clarify availability, special requests, and expectations prior to booking.

What happens after I submit a booking request?

Providers receive instant notifications. Most requests are confirmed automatically, but some listings allow providers to approve requests manually.

Pricing & Payments

How is pricing determined?

Pricing is set by providers and can reflect factors like demand, duration, and included amenities. Taxes and service fees are shown before checkout.

What payment methods do you accept?

GigZoro supports major credit and debit cards along with popular digital wallets in select regions. Payment methods display during checkout.

When is my payment processed?

Your payment method is authorized at booking and captured when the reservation is confirmed. You receive a receipt via email and in your dashboard.

Cancellations & Refunds

What is the cancellation policy?

Each listing is associated with a flexible, standard, or strict cancellation policy. You can review the policy on the listing and during checkout.

How do refunds work?

If your cancellation qualifies for a refund, we automatically process it to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank.

What if a provider cancels?

If a provider needs to cancel, you receive a full refund and suggested alternatives. Repeat cancellations impact the provider’s standing.

How does GigZoro vet providers?

Providers complete identity verification, agree to quality standards, and are subject to ongoing performance reviews based on customer feedback.

Are reviews moderated?

Yes. We monitor reviews for authenticity and policy violations. Reviews from verified bookings help customers choose confidently.

How is my information protected?

We use industry-standard encryption, secure payments, and role-based access controls to protect personal and financial information.

Hosts & Providers

How do I list a new service or rental?

Use the provider dashboard to add a listing, set availability, pricing, and requirements. Listings sync with Dataverse so updates stay current.

What tools help me manage bookings?

GigZoro includes calendar syncing, smart notifications, and automated reminders so you can manage requests from any device.

How do payouts work?

Completed bookings trigger payouts to your connected bank account or payout method. You can monitor transfer status in the provider dashboard.

How do I update my profile or preferences?

Navigate to Account Settings to edit your profile, notification preferences, and saved payment methods at any time.

What if I forget my password?

Use the password reset link on the sign-in page. We will send a secure email so you can choose a new password.

How can I contact support?

Visit the Help Center from your dashboard to browse guides or open a support ticket. Priority support is available for verified providers.

Rental Protection Insurance

Do I have to buy insurance?

No. Insurance is optional, but highly recommended—especially for high-value items.

How much does rental protection cost?

Rental Protection Insurance costs 7.5% of your rental cost. For example, on a $100 rental, insurance would be $7.50.

Does this replace the provider's rental agreement?

No. GigZoro's insurance simply covers the financial responsibility the agreement assigns to you.

Will the provider know if I purchased insurance?

Yes. Providers see whether a rental is insured or uninsured.

Can a provider dispute a claim?

Providers submit claims, but GigZoro determines whether they meet coverage criteria.

Can I be charged after the rental ends?

If you purchased insurance and the claim is approved, you will not be charged additional damage fees.

How does the claims process work?

If an item is damaged or lost, the provider submits a damage claim through GigZoro. We evaluate the provider's rental agreement, photos, videos, documentation, the type and extent of damage, and the timing and circumstances. If approved, GigZoro pays the provider directly and you owe nothing further.

What happens if my claim is approved?

If your claim is approved, GigZoro pays the provider directly for repairs or replacement. You pay nothing more and receive a summary of the claim, the provider's evidence, and GigZoro's decision. No negotiation, no stress, no unexpected charges after your rental.

What exactly does the Rental Protection Program cover?

The program covers accidental damage, breakage, theft, and loss of rented equipment during the rental period. Coverage begins at the scheduled start time and ends at the scheduled return time of your rental.

What is NOT covered by the Rental Protection Program?

The program does not cover: intentional damage, gross negligence, unauthorized use, normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage not documented at pickup, items left unattended in public spaces, damage from illegal activities, cosmetic damage not affecting functionality, loss of accessories (unless listed in the rental agreement), or consequential losses like lost revenue or data.

How long does a provider have to file a damage claim?

Providers must submit damage claims within 7 calendar days after the rental end date. Claims submitted after this window will not be eligible for coverage.

How long does the claims investigation take?

GigZoro reviews claims within 3 to 14 business days. During this time, we may request additional information from either party. Both the customer and provider receive a written notification of the decision.

Is GigZoro an insurance company?

No. GigZoro is not an insurance company. The Rental Protection Program is a damage waiver program administered by GigZoro to help resolve rental-related disputes. It is not a traditional insurance policy.

What happens if my claim is denied?

If a claim is denied, both the customer and provider receive a written explanation of the decision. The customer may then be responsible for damage costs according to the provider's rental agreement terms.

What documentation is required for a damage claim?

Providers must submit: photographic or video evidence of the damage, a description of when and how the damage occurred, estimated repair or replacement costs, and any relevant rental agreement documentation.

AI Features and Safety

How does GigZoro use AI?

GigZoro uses AI to help generate listing content, assist with provider onboarding, translate messages between customers and providers, and improve SEO metadata. Future features may include insurance claim risk analysis.

Is my personal data used to train AI models?

No. GigZoro does not use personal data to train AI models. Your privacy is protected, and no message content is retained for AI training purposes.

Can AI change my rental agreement terms?

No. AI is never used to generate or alter contract terms. GigZoro prohibits AI from modifying the meaning of rental agreements.

How do I know if content is AI-generated?

Providers are informed when content suggestions are generated by AI. All AI-generated content must be reviewed and approved by providers before publication.

Are insurance claims reviewed by humans?

Yes. While AI may help flag potential issues, all insurance claims are reviewed and decided by trained human personnel. AI never makes final claim decisions.

How does AI translation work?

AI translation helps customers and providers communicate across languages. Both the original message and the translation are displayed for transparency, ensuring the meaning is preserved.

How does GigZoro verify providers?

GigZoro performs basic identity and legitimacy checks on providers. This helps ensure you are dealing with real businesses and individuals who have agreed to our platform terms.

Are there hidden fees on GigZoro?

No. GigZoro is committed to transparent pricing. All fees, taxes, and charges are clearly displayed before you complete any booking.

How are disputes handled?

Disputes follow a three-step process: 1) Both parties submit evidence, 2) GigZoro conducts a human review, 3) A decision is made based on platform rules and the rental agreement. All decisions are made by trained personnel using documented evidence.

What are providers required to do?

Providers must maintain accurate listings, honor scheduled bookings, keep equipment safe, follow local laws, and submit honest damage claims.

What are customers expected to do?

Customers must respect rental property, return items on time, use messaging tools appropriately, and follow local laws.

How does GigZoro protect against fraud?

GigZoro uses fraud prevention monitoring, secure payment processing, and human-reviewed dispute processes to protect both customers and providers.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. GigZoro uses secure payment processing to protect your financial information. We never store complete payment card details on our servers.
